On Saturday 17th November 2012 we will be playing at A Funeral Awareness Day at St Peter’s Church, Portishead. This special event is design to help those who wish to think about their funerals. Some like to leave instructions as to what they would like to happen at their funerals and others wish to take out a funeral plan. These days funerals can take many styles and forms and we hope this day will help those who attend understand more about the options available.
Members of the clergy will available to share ideas about the wide range of ways funerals can be conducted. Our local funeral directors will on hand to explain the services they offer. There will also be representatives to explain more about local cemeteries and crematoriums in Bristol and North Somerset and dispelling some of the myths about cremation. We will also have local solicitors to offer guidance on wills and other related topics.
There will be people available throughout the day to give advice and answer your questions as well as members of Cruise to offer bereavement support. There will also be talks from funeral specialists repeated at 10.45am, 12noon and 1.15pm. There will also be live music from Lochrian String Quartet and Ensemble.
