The Lochrian String Quartet is excited to be asked to join the Choir of Clifton Cathedral conducted by Richard Jeffrey Gray on Christmas Eve for a special live broadcast on BBC1 of Midnight Mass at Clifton Cathedral. How wonderful to be back playing in person after months of Covid 19 restrictions.
Bishop Declan will be presiding at the Mass, and Canon Bosco MacDonald, Cathedral Dean, will be the preacher. Choir members will sing well-loved carols including O Come All Ye Faithful, Silent Night and Hark! the Herald Angels Sing. The Mass setting is Missa Universalis, composed by the cathedral’s director of music, Richard Jeffrey-Gray, and the organist is Stephen Bryant.
