Wedding Music Piece of the Week

A bit of self-indulgence this week!  One of my favourite tunes of any genre of music ever is ‘She’: originally recorded by Charles Aznavour but more popular of late due to its use in the fabulous film Notting Hill, by Elvis Costello’s version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXqcokP4C7E

Come on Gents – take an active role in decision making for your wedding day and try including this song – dedicated to your new wife – maybe during the signing of the register in your ceremony.  The words aren’t the most romantic but The Lochrian Ensemble has a lovely instrumental arrangement and the last line:

“For where she goes I’ve got to be, The meaning of my life is She”

surely couldn’t be more appropriate…
