Described as the “Jupiter of music, whose hallelujahs open the heavens” Handel has been the most influential figure in British musical life for almost 300 years. From stage to screen, from concert hall to cathedral, his music speaks powerfully and directly to all.
Accompanied by propfessional orchestra The Lochrian Ensemble, the 100-strong choir will perform some of Handel’s most dramatic and sparkling choruses and the two soloists, both Handelian specialists, will sing some of his most sensuous and lyrical arias and duets from opera and oratorio.
Come and hear some of Handel’s best-loved choral pieces but also discover many lesser-known gems.
