Join Lucis for a gala concert performance of Purcell’s setting of a tragic tale of power, love and a little magic. Featuring Esther Brazil (Dido), Gwilym Bowen (Aeneas) and the Lochrian Ensemble, all under the direction of Francis Faux.
From 5.30pm – Why not make an occasion of visiting the glorious setting of Prior Park? Explore the grounds, see the famous Palladian Bridge, take in the stunning views over Bath and bring a picnic to enjoy on the lawn.
During the interval a complimentary glass of prosecco and canapes will be served at Ralph Allen’s Mansion overlooking the Bath skyline. Take the time to relax, mingle and take in the architecture of this Grade 1 listed centrepiece of Prior Park estate before returning for the conclusion of the opera.
