We are really looking forward to this collaboration with Russian virtuoso Theremin player Lydia Kavina at St George’s Brandon Hill . In the first part of the concert, Lydia will lead a short introductory lecture/demonstration on the instrument and in the second part, we will accompany her performing a special Filmic programme including Miklos Rozsa’s ‘Fantasy’ from Hitchcock’s Spellbound, Martinu’s ‘Fantasia for Theremin, Oboe, Piano and String Quartet’, and music by Howard Shore for Ed Wood and by Danny Elfman for Mars Attacks.
